BIRTH

BALKO was born during my Australian adventure. The cultural exchange helped me become aware of the importance of following a healthier and more responsible lifestyle at all levels. The project itself didn't take shape until a couple of years later, in my hometown, Barcelona.

On a professional level, I've had the opportunity to explore various industries, but it's within the realms of fashion and cosmetics where I've felt most connected. I've had firsthand experience within their production chains, gaining insights into the entire process from product design to client delivery.

The experience of working in different industries, along with traveling and experiencing different ways of living, has helped me become more aware of the impact we all have on the environment. It has also underscored the significance of striking a balance between our genuine needs and our actual consumption habits.

BALKO's mission is to promote and inspire a model of sustainable living, being a window of fresh air and a meeting point for brands with social and conscious values. Is not only a lifestyle marketplace, it is an inspiration way of life.

We don't aim to be the solution, but rather the means. We don't judge those who don't do it, nor do we assess whether we contribute more or less. We want to support from a place of respect, and it's valid from the smallest change to the most significant contribution. The goal is to help so that your path towards a more conscious life is easy and beneficial for you and for others.

I am convinced that, as brands and consumers, we can all do our bit to change this paradigm. It is a matter of choosing business models that generate a positive impact on our planet. The amount of conscious entrepreneurs and consumers is growing and I can't wait to meet you in this journey.
